Hi my name is Schynane Broughton
I have been doing Family Day Care since January 2011. I have two high school aged children living at home and have cared for many children over the years aged from new born to teenagers, including one child with severe physical and intellectual disabilities.
I am available for care Monday to Friday, including overnight care as well as occasional weekend care.
I offer quality child care in a relaxed and friendly environment. The children have a variety of indoor and outdoor activities as well as age appropriate toys to choose from. Different cultures, backgrounds, religions, ages and language are considered when planning activities and outings for the children in my care. I attend Play Sessions at BBFDC each fortnight where the children mix with other children of varying ages, and many different activities are offered such as playdough, singing, crafts, stories, music and much more. I regularly get together with other educators, once or twice a week, at our home or theirs or the park. I follow the Early Years Learning Framework where learning experiences are incorporated into each child’s play in an atmosphere of warmth and acceptance.
I have my Blue card, First Aid/CPR/Asthma/Anaphylaxis certificates and have completed my Certificate III in Children’s Services.
