Hi my name is Kath Philp
I have been an Educator since the year 2000. I did a school based traineeship in 2000/2001 and completed my Certificate III. When I finished my Cert III I continued on studying to complete my Diploma in Children’s Services. I worked at my first centre for 7 years ranging from 6 weeks to 5 years of age. Over the years I have continued to love my job and caring/teaching the little people. I have done nanny work in London for two years, and continued with nanny work when I came back to Brisbane. After having two children of my own I went back to Lady Gowrie Child Care Centre looking after children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.
Now I’m doing my dream job family Day Care! I continue to still have my passion for little people and love seeing them achieve their goals. I have plenty of resources indoors and outdoors for the children to play with. I will also have planned and spontaneous learning experiences for the children.
At Learn and Grow my opening hours are Monday to Wednesday 7.30am to 5pm with an eight hour minimum for ages 1 to 4 years. I have a spacious Family Day Care room, separate sleep room, dining room and kitchen. Out the back the children can play in the shade on the alfresco area, have a run around the spacious backyard or a big jump on the trampoline.
