Play Sessions

Our scheme offers Play Sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during school terms for our Educators.  This provides the children who attend the opportunity to mix with other children and Educators and participate in a wide variety of experiences.

The children are offered a variety of resources, such as paint, glue, sand and water play as well as dramatic play and construction.  Old clothes, a hat and sunscreen are essential when attending Play Sessions.

Our Play Sessions are led by a trained Early Childhood Teacher, who plans and implements a variety of experiences based on the children’s interests and developmental stages.  The Play Session Coordinator shares her programming with Educators so they can use it in their own services and  share it with families.

We also plan for community involvement with visitors such as Little Critters Mobile Farm, music presentations, local fire brigade, and police officers.

A Community Play Session (open to everyone) is held on the third Thursday of each month during school terms.  Bookings are essential and can be made via email to coordinator@bbfdc.com.au
